Bio:

Tilman Spohn studied geophysics at the Johann-Wolfgang-Goethe-University in Frankfurt and received his diploma in 1975. Three years later he received his Ph.D. nat. And in 1984 the habilitation. Since this year he is a professor at the Westfälische Wilhelms-Universität in Münster and since 2004 also director of the DLR Institute for Planetary Research in Adlershof. Since 2007, he has been coordinating one of the Helmholtz alliances for research on the subject of "Planetary Development and Life".
