"David R Goodlett"Bio:
Prof Goodlett has spent his career using mass spectrometry to solve structure-function relationships via novel technology and software developments. This work has been in a variety of fields including medicine, oceanography, pharmacy and microbiology all which have led to > 250 publications producing an h-index ~ 70 as of 2019. You can find him online at https://twitter.com/goodlettlab1.
He holds a BS (1982) and MS (1986) degree in chemistry from Auburn University and obtained a PhD in biochemistry from NC State University (1991) with Richard B van Breemen who trained with Catherine Fenselau. His postdoctoral training (1991-1993) was with Richard D Smith on Native MS and ESI fundamentals after which he spent five years in the pharmaceutical industry before returning to academics. Once there he was mentored by Profs Aebersold and Hood.
