… Dr. Ya-Pin Lee, born at Taipeh, Formosa on October 23, 1924, was admitted to the United States on July 20,. 1955, as an exchange visitor. He had received an M.D. degree from National Taiwan University, Formosa in 1949 and a Ph. D. from Kyushu University in Japan in 1955. He conducted post-doctorate research in biological chemistry at the Enzyme Institute of the University of Wisconsin from July 1955 to September 1957, at the Washington University School of Medicine from September 1957 to September 1959 and again at the University of Wisconsin from September 1959 to July 1, 1963, at which time he accepted the position of Hill Research Professor of Biochemistry at the University of North Dakota, which position he holds presently.
