Andressa Mota was born in Natal, Brazil, on 1981. She completed her undergraduate studies in Materials Engennering between 1999 and 2004 at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN). While an undergraduate, she worked at three scientific projects as an initiante scientist as well as young scientst of Petrobras (2005). Given her interesting in physics, she got a extra graduation in the departament of physic at UFRN. She received her Master degree from the Federal University of São Carlos (2007), Brazil, and PhD from University of São Paulo, (2012) at the Chemistry Institute of São Carlos, Brazil, in a colaboration with the Fritz-Haber Institute, Berlin.
