Dr Hurtig had a joint appointment in Psychology and Speech Pathology (Wendell Johnson Speech and Hearing Ctr) at Iowa in 1978 but about 1980 moved to Speech Pathology full time. He continued as co-chair or member of Psychology thesis committees and taught Psychology of Language.
