Bio:

Bachelor's degree in Physics from the University of São Paulo (1988), Master in Physics from the University of São Paulo (1991), Ph. D. in Nuclear Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (1997) and Associate Professor of Nanotechnology at the Polytechnic School University of São Paulo (2006). He is currently Associate Professor III in the Department of Electronic Systems Engineering from the Polytechnic School of the University of Sao Paulo. He was visiting associate professor at the University of Minnesota (2007-2008). It has experience in the area of physics of condensed matter, focusing on modeling of semiconductor materials and nanostructures from atomistic simulations, using classical and quantum methods. He is the author or co-author of more than 100 full papers in indexed journals.
