Bio:

Garrett D. Cole was born in San Jose, CA, in 1979. He received the B.S. degree in materials engineering from the California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, in 2001 and the Ph.D. degree in electronic materials from the University of California, Santa Barbara, in 2005, being co-advised by Noel C. MacDonald and John E. Bowers.
