"Denis Aslangil"Bio:
Dr. Aslangil received his M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Mechanical Engineering from Lehigh University in 2015 and 2019, respectively. His research focuses on turbulence theory, hydrodynamic instabilities, interfacial flows, and fluid-solid-shock interactions. He has extensive experience in high-fidelity numerical simulations, including Direct Numerical Simulation (DNS) and Large Eddy Simulation (LES), as well as high-performance computing. Before joining Mines, Dr. Aslangil was a postdoctoral researcher at Los Alamos National Laboratory and an Assistant Professor in the Department of Aerospace Engineering and Mechanics at the University of Alabama.
