Childhood and youth spent Michael Thaut, the son of Baptist theologian Rudolf Thaut in Mannheim, Munich, Bad Homburg and Hamburg. After his Abitur he studied 1972-1976 Educational Sciences at the University of Münster and graduated after studying music at the Mozarteum in Salzburg. [1]
