Bio:

My graduate training is in political science, not planning. Before entering academic life, I worked at the Twentieth Century Fund (now the Century Foundation), Public Administration Service, the American Society of Planning Officials (now the American Planning Association), the Environmental Law Institute, and Resources for the Future. I have taught at Rutgers since 1983, Cornell (1984), and, with my wife Deborah Popper, now a semi-retired geographer from the City University of New York (College of Staten Island and Graduate Center), at Princeton since 2001.
