Bio:

Grew up in Oxford, Ohio, and did undergraduate studies at Miami University. In 1985, moved to the University of Chicago / Field Museum of Natural History, where he did a M.S. and a Ph.D. Finally, in 1993, moved to the University of Kansas, where he is now University Distinguished Professor.
