http://www.scs.illinois.edu/~mainzv/HIST/bulletin_open_access/num6/num6%20p7-15.pdf It was about five years after Fajans' arrival at Michigan that Theodore Berlin became one of his doctoral students. Berlin was interested in theoretical chemistry and physics and his collaboration with Fajans led to Fajans' last major contribution to physical chemistry, the quanticule theory of chemical binding and structure.
