"Christoph Weder"Bio:
Since 2009 Christoph Weder serves as Professor for Polymer Chemistry and Materials at the Adolphe Merkle Institute of the University of Fribourg, Switzerland. He is also the Director of this recently established competence center for fundamental and applied research on soft nanomaterials and leads the Swiss National Center of Competence in Research Bio-Inspired Materials.
Chris Weder was trained as a chemist/material scientist at ETH Zurich and carried out postdoctoral research at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He subsequently earned a Habilitation from ETH Zurich, and held a faculty position at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland (USA) for nine years, before he joined the University of Fribourg.
