MD sponsor of his Göttinger dissertation 'de pulmonibus' was apparently the anatomist Wrisberg; other teachers are Baldinger, Blumenbach and Murray. The Algemeine Deutsche Biographie doesn't mention Gmelin It does, however, mention von Walter, Knape in Berlin as further teachers of Hildebrandt
Several sources mention that Wrisberg is a pupil and successor of Albrecht von Haller pid=630 . Wrisberg himself, in his dissertation, mentions Zinn as his 'praeceptor', who in turn is "einer der am berühmtesten gewordenen Schüler Haller's." Based on that I arrive at the following pedigree: Boerhaave/Albinus - Von Haller - Zinn - Wrisberg - Hildebrandt
Problem with it is that is that Haller returned to Switzerland in 1753 and that Zinn died in 1759, i.e. before Wrisberg graduated (1764). Johann Georg Roederer is also mentioned as Wrisberg's teacher, but he died in 1763
