Josef B. Simeonsson received a BS in Chemistry from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a PhD in Chemistry from the University of Florida. After completing the Ph.D., he was a National Research Council Postdoctoral Research Associate at the Army Ballistics Research Laboratory at Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD, an Assistant Professor of Chemistry at the University of Iowa, and a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the US EPA National Health and Environmental Effects Research Laboratory in Research Triangle Park, NC. Following that, he started Advanced Monitoring Inc., a company that focuses on the development and application of high performance analytical methods.
