Dr. Deno is a native of Chicago. He received the B.S. degree in chemistry from the University of Illinois, and the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees from the University of Michigan. He did postdoctoral work at the Ohio State University before joining the Pennsylvania State University faculty in 1950.
