Bio:

Jay A. Labinger, born in 1947, studied at Harvey Mudd College, received his Ph.D. at Harvard University in 1974 under the direction of J. A. Osborn, and carried out postdoctoral research at Princeton University with J. Schwartz. He subsequently held a faculty position at the University of Notre Dame from 1975 - 1981 and conducted research for two years at Occidental Research Corporation and for three years at Atlantic Richfield Company, Los Angeles. Since 1986 he has been a Member of the Professional Staff as well as Administrator for the Beckman Institute at the California Institute of Technology.
