Jacobs Jordan lives in the New Orleans area with his wife and three daughters. He attended the University of New Orleans where he received bachelor’s degrees in biology (2009) and chemistry (2010). He matriculated at Tulane University for his doctoral studies in 2011, where he studied physical organic chemistry and organic synthesis under the guidance of Prof. Bruce C. Gibb. His research focused on the synthesis of water-soluble bowl-shaped container molecules that were used to investigate ion-ion and ion-hydrocarbon interactions. Dr. Jordan is now a Research Chemist at USDA; his research focus is on cotton-based nanoparticles and nanofibers and functional composites.
