Wayne Goodman received his B.S. in Chemistry from Mississippi College and his Ph.D. from the University of Texas with M. J. S. Dewar. After a NATO Fellowship, 1975, at the Technische Hochschule, Darmstadt, Germany, and an NRC Fellowship, 1976-77, NBS (now NIST), he joined the research staff at NBS in 1978. In 1980, he became a research scientist at Sandia National Laboratories, where he served as Head of the Surface Science Division. In 1988, he joined the faculty of the Chemistry Department at Texas A&M
