Bio:

Joshua P. Barham was born in Watford, U.K. He completed his BSc. and MSc. studies at University College London in 2013 under the supervision of Prof. James C. Anderson. He received his industry-based PhD in 2017 under the supervision of Prof. John A. Murphy at the University of Strathclyde and Dr. Matthew P. John at GSK, U.K. His postdoctoral studies with Prof. Yasuo Norikane and Prof. Yoshitaka Hamashima at AIST and the University of Shizuoka, Japan, specialized in photoredox catalysis and microwave flow chemistry. In 2020, he launched his independent research group, supported by a Sofja Kovalevskaja Award from the Alexander von Humboldt foundation. He investigates photo-, electro-, photoelectro- and flow chemistry in organic synthesis at the University of Regensburg (host researcher Prof. Burkhard König).
