Bengt Lindberg, born July 17, 1919 in Stockholm, died March 20, 2008, was a Swedish chemist.

Lindberg obtained his doctorate in 1950 at the Royal Institute of Technology on a doctoral thesis on glycosides. He then became docent at the same place and later head at the wood chemistry department at the Swedish Forest Research Laboratory. In 1959 he was awarded the title of Professor by the Swedish King and then in 1965 he was invited to take the chair in Organic Chemistry at Stockholm University. He was elected in 1967 in the Academy of Sciences.
