Bio:

Larry Kevan was a Cullen Professor of Chemistry at the University of Houston. Kevan's 
areas of expertise are physical chemistry, electron spin resonance, and microporous materials. 
Kevan began teaching as an instructor at the University of Chicago in 1963. He taught as 
assistant and associate professor at the University of Kansas from 1965 to 1969, arriving at Wayne 
State University in 1969, where he remained until 1980, when he moved to Houston. 

Kevan was awarded with the following fellowships: Woodrow Wilson Fellow, National 
Science Foundation Fellow, Summerfield Fellow, National Academy of Sciences Fellow, Japan 
Society of Promotion of Science Fellow, Suginome Foundation Fellow, Guggenheim Fellow, and 
University of Florence Fellow.
