Dr. Amineni Umamaheswari has joined as an Assistant Professor in Department of bioinformatics in 2004 and subsequently elevated as Professor. She has profound experience in Bioinformatics research and first to establish DBT sponsored Bioinformatics centre in a medical institution of South India and received the best centre award from DBT. She received 35 best paper awards and Best teacher and research excellence awards.
Her research work mainly focused on identification of drug targets, vaccine candidates and inhibitor molecules for communicable and noncommunicable diseases using bioinformatics approaches.
