Jon G. Bredeson is Chair and Professor Emeritus of Electrical and Computer Engineering retiring in August 2007. He is currently Professor Emeritus teaching part time at the University of Oklahoma. He received his B.S. and M.S. in Electrical Engineering from North Dakota State University in 1962 and 1963, respectively. He received the Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Northwestern University in 1967. He was a faculty member in Electrical Engineering at Penn State from 1967 to 1979, and a faculty member at the University of Oklahoma from 1979 to 1988. He was Head at the University of Alabama from 1988 to 1991 and Professor from 1988 to 1996.
