Yang Zhao is a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering at University of Florida (graduated in December 2017). His research interests have so far been concentrated on thin film processing, photovoltaics, colloidal particles transport, and surface modification. Yang has published 17 papers and 3 patents with original results by major journals. Meanwhile, he has presented his work in a number of national conferences and research seminars.

Outside his academic life, Yang takes considerable interest in entrepreneurship, and once established a startup company focusing on the technical translation services for industrial manufacturing. He also enjoys playing the basketball, exploring, and observing nature.
