David M Robinson, Ph.D, MS, BS

A UD alumnus and longtime member of the faculty, Dr. Robinson earned three degrees at UD: his bachelor of science degree in electrical engineering in 1954, his master's degree in electrical engineering in 1960 and his Ph.D. in 1964, when he became the first student to earn a Ph.D. in electrical engineering.
After working at Bell Labs and Morton Thiokol, Dr. Robinson returned to the University as a professor in the College of Engineering. He retired as professor emeritus in 1996 and continued an affectionate connection with the UD staff members and former students.
In 1997, he received the College of Engineering's Outstanding Alumni Award.
