Bio:

Dr. Ishwar K. Puri is Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada, for the EDC Executive Board. Prior to his appointment at McMaster, he was the N. Waldo Harrison Professor of Engineering Science and Mechanics at Virginia Tech where he served as Department Head. He is a Fellow of ASME and AAAS, and has served as Secretary of the American Academy of Mechanics. He is a founder and mentor of Nanospin, which is a startup that has developed a cooling system for computers and electronic devices.
