Bio:

Pamela Riney-Kehrberg earned her BA at Colorado College in 1985. She earned her MA from the University of Wisconsin - Madison in 1986, and her PhD also from the University of Wisconsin - Madison in 1991. Her dissertation was titled "In God We Trusted, in Kansas We Busted . . . Again: A Social History of Dust Bowl Kansas." In 1994, the University Press of Kansas published her dissertation as _Rooted in Dust: Surviving Drought and Depression in Southwestern Kansas_. She taught at Illinois State University from 1991 to 2000. In 2000, she joined the faculty of Iowa State University, where she is currently a Distinguished Professor of History. She is a Fellow of the Agricultural History Society, and a past president of the Agricultural History Society and Midwestern History Association.
