Edward DeLamater of Oxford, Md., died Nov. 24, 1994. Dr. DeLamater devoted his career to research in microbiology, with his first appointment as assistant professor of bacteriology and mycology at the University of Minnesota. He then served on the faculties of the University of Pennsylvania, New York Medical College, and Florida Atlantic University, where he was appointed Distinguished University Professor of Science.
