"Peter Taber"
Bio:

He studies the relationship between expertise and governance in the context of environmental issues. He focuses on the technocratic subjectivities that contribute to neoliberal environmental governance, with a focus on Ecuadorian biodiversity conservation. He is also interested in conservation negotiations as a site in which the sovereignty of indigenous groups and the Ecuadorian state are being renegotiated vis a vis foreign aid agencies and a cluster of international conservation NGOs.
