Bio:

Christofredo Jakob arrived in Argentina in 1899, hired by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs at the request of Domingo Cabred whose chair organized the first Laboratory of Pathology of the nervous system in the Hospicio de las Mercedes. From 1912-1946, he also worked in the Hospital of Alienadas (today hospital "Braulio Moyano"). Since 1901 he taught at the chair of Neurology Ramos Mejia. He was the first Professor of Biology at the Faculty of Arts at the University of Buenos Aires and the University of La Plata issued Pathology and Biology and Nervous System.
Jakob, born in Wernitz-Ostheim, Germany in 1866, was a psychiatrist and neurobiologist. He was first assistant Adolf von Strümpell at the University of Erlangen and author of two anatomy atlas.
