Bio:

1866-1935. French bacteriologist. Discovered Moraxella lacunata. Moraxella is a genus named for him; M. catarrhalis is the most common human pathogen in the genus. He published a book on trachoma in 1929. In 1930 he became a member of the Académie de Médecine.
