Bio:

Richard Cole, professor emeritus at Stevens Institute of Technology, died Jan. 24, 2018, at the age of 80.
Cole graduated with a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Cornell University in 1958. From Princeton, he earned a master of science degree in mechanical and aerospace engineering in 1966. He also earned a master’s of science in Mechanical Engeering (1961) and a Ph.D. degree in Applied Mechanics (Thermodynamics) from Stevens in 1971. Subsequently, he taught 41 years in the mechanical engineering department at Stevens. He was also director of the joint NYU/Stevens Program in Science and Engineering.
