Bio:

Dr. Kanhu Charan Behera earned his Ph.D. in chemistry, specializing in the synthesis and functionalization of organic fluorescent molecules and coordination complexes. His doctoral research significantly contributed to the development of innovative photoswitchable and fluorescent materials for applications in environmental monitoring, biological studies, and chemical sensing. During his postdoctoral tenure at the Department of Chemistry, IIT Bombay, under the mentorship of Prof. M. Ravikanth, Dr. Behera focused on synthesizing and fine-tuning the photophysical properties of pyrrole-based ligands, including BODIPY, pyrrolyl BODIPY, dipyrroethene, macrocyclic complexes and fluorescence-based materials and their versatile functionalities. Currently, Dr. Behera is pursuing a postdoctoral position at National Taiwan University, where his research focuses on rotaxanes, supramolecular chemistry, and interlocked molecular compounds.
