Bio:

A native of Palmerton, Pennsylvania, John Weaver's musical studies began at the age of six at the Peabody Conservatory in Baltimore, from which he received the 1989 Distinguished Alumni Award. He was graduated from the Curtis Institute, a student of Alexander McCurdy, and received a Master of Sacred Music degree from Union Theological Seminary, studying with Robert Baker. In 1995 he was awarded an honorary Doctor of Music degree from Westminster College, New Wilmington, PA. He has served on the faculties of the Westminster Choir College, Union Theological Seminary, and the Manhattan School of Music. For eleven years he was at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in New York where he founded the famous Bach Cantata services.
