Bio:

Joel T. Cramer, PhD, CSCS,*D; NSCA-CPT,*D; FNSCA, is a Professor in the Department of Nutrition and Health Sciences at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Joel received a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from Creighton University and completed master’s and doctoral degrees in Exercise Physiology at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln under the mentorship of Dr. Terry J. Housh. Dr. Cramer studies the neuromuscular responses to stretching and resistance training as well as the safety and efficacy of nutritional supplements across the lifespan. He has authored or coauthored over 200 peer-reviewed scientific articles in journals such as the Journal of Strength and Conditioning Research, Experimental Gerontology, Journal of Sports Sciences, European Journal of Applied Physiology, and Muscle & Nerve. Joel is married to Jennifer, and they live in Lincoln, Nebraska, raising five children: Nick, Dane, Kelly, Cole, and Beau.
