Jim became an expert in planetariums. He was assistant director of the Adler Planetarium and oversaw the construction of the Rose Center in New York. He has consulted on the building of new digital planetariums around the world. He was also the assistant director of the first South Pole Observatory. Jim’s teaching has been in museums, in outreach programs and in art schools.
