Bio:

Andreas Zezas received his BSc in Physics from the Univ. of Patras in 1996 and his PhD in 2002 from the University of Leicester (UK). His thesis work was on the X-ray emission from normal galaxies. From 2000 until 2008 he was a researcher at the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics at Cambridge, MA (USA). There he worked on X-ray observations of nearby galaxies with the Chandra and XMM-Newton X-ray observatories. He joined the Department of Physics as an Assistant Professor in the fall of 2008, he was promoted to Associate Professor in 2015 and to a Professor in 2020.
