Bio:

Dr. Nicola Poccia received his "Laurea" in physics at the Sapienza University of Rome in 2009 and received his Ph. D. in Physics from Sapienza University in 2012. He was Marie Curie Fellow at the University of Twente, Enschede during 2013-2016. He then joined as postdoctoral fellow the Department of Physics at Harvard University. Since 2019, he is Group Leader at the IFW-Dresden. Dr. Nicola Poccia interests lie at the frontier aspects of condensed matter physics, in particular, emergent properties in superconducting materials. He has developed cutting-ede systems for the control, imaging and integration of quantum complexity in superconductivity, using combinations of experimental approaches ranging from advanced synchrotron radiation microscopies to nanofabrication and quantum transport.
