Bio:

Panos Tzanetakis obtained his PhD from the Universite de Grenoble (France) in 1978. From 1978-1981 he was as a Research Associate at the Materials Research Laboratory of the Univ. of Illinios at Urbana-Champaign. He joined the Univ. of Crete in 1982 as a Research Associate. He was elected as an Assistant Professor in 1985, and as an Associate Professor in 1993. He was promoted to a Professor in 2009. He has led the efforts for the creation of the photovoltaics park at FORTH which is used for research and educational activities. He retired in 2014 and became Emeritus Professor in 2015.
