Bio:

Kin Israel Notarte earned Doctor of Medicine and Master of Science in Microbiology from the University of Santo Tomas, Philippines. He is currently pursuing PhD in Pathobiology (Microbiology and Infectious Disease) at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in the United States. He has more than forty publications in research areas encompassing microbiology, infectious disease, oncology, medicinal chemistry, pharmacology, public health, and evidence-based medicine. He is a reviewer for more than twenty journals, including the New England Journal of Medicine, Nature Communications Medicine, and Frontiers in Immunology. He also serves the editorial board of Infectious Diseases: Pathogenesis and Therapy, a specialty section of Frontiers in Medicine. He is a fellow of the Royal Society for Public Health. In his spare time he loves to travel, watch anime, and read fictional books.
