Joseph Nathan Cohen is an Associate Professor of Sociology at the City University of New York, Queens College. Professor Cohen’s research areas include household finance, consumption, marketing, media, economic policy, governance, wellbeing, and quantitative analysis. He is the author of two academic books: Financial Crisis in American Households (2017, Praeger) and Global Capitalism (2010, Polity, with Miguel Centeno). His analyses have been featured in several major media outlets, including the Guardian, the Washington Post, the Associate Press, Bloomberg, National Public Radio, and the Providence Journal.
