Yan Li received his bachelor's degree in Biotechnology from Jilin University in 2011 and Ph.D. degree from the Institute of Genetics and Cell Research, Northeast Normal University in 2017. He worked at the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry of the University of Oklahoma, first as a Research Scholar (2015–2017) and then as a Postdoctoral Fellow (2017–2020), followed by joining Zhejiang University. His research interests include phage display, bio-nanoparticles, nanomedicine, tissue repair, cancer imaging, and therapy.
