Lloyd Berg
BOZEMAN –Lloyd Berg, 85, longest-serving professor in MSU’s history, died of cancer June 5, 2000, in Bozeman Deaconess Hospital. He was born Aug. 8, 1914, in Paterson, N.J., the oldest child of Olav Berg, a chemical engineer, and Anita Schneider, a concert pianist.
Lloyd graduated in 1936 from Lehigh University where he served as captain and pitcher for the baseball team and was a member of Theta Xi fraternity. He received his Ph.D. from Purdue University in 1942.
