Atif Debs is a Professor of Electrical Engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology , Altanta , Georgia . He obtained his S.B., S.M. , and Ph.D. degrees in 1964 , '65 , and '69 , respectively , at MIT , Cambridge , Massachusetts . From 1969 to 1972 , he worked at Systems Controls , in Palo Alto , California , in the fields of power system state estination and network planning . He joined the faculty of Georgia Tech in 1972 where he helped the development of the power engineering program.
