Victor E. Nash , professor of agronomy ( soil chemistry and mineralogy ) , retired 30 June 1990 after 30 years of service to Mississippi State University and the Mississippi Agricultural and Forestry Experiment Station . Dr. Nash was born in Frankfort , KY . He received his B.S. in agronomy and M.S. in soils from the University of Kentucky in 1951 and 1952 respectively ; and his Ph.D. in 1955 from the University of Missouri
