Georges Guiraud first studied with the Jesuits and won in 1898 a first price cello Toulouse Conservatory, where his father teaches, Guiraud Omer, holder of the organ in Saint-Sernin.
It integrates the Niedermeyer School and then the Conservatory of Paris. He received the teaching of Charles-Marie Widor, Franck and Jules Massenet. During this passage in the capital, it will be the song leader Column concerts.
