Degrees from Ohio State University: bachelor’s (1938), master’s (1939), and doctoral (1942).
Four books co-authored with Albert Ellis: "A Guide to Rational Living" (1961; new editions in 1975 and 1998), "Creative Marriage" (1961), "How to Stop Destroying Your Relationships" (2001), and "Dating, Mating, and Relating" (2003). His other books are, "Psychoanalysis and Psychotherapy: 36 Systems" (1959), "45 Levels to Sexual Understanding and Enjoyment" (1971, with Walter Stokes) and "The New Psychotherapies" (1975).
