"Paul Blaney"Bio:
Paul H. Blaney was born in New Haven, Connecticut, and lived in the suburbs of Boston, Massachusetts during most of his formative years. He graduated from Eastern Nazarene College in 1966 and received his PhD in Clinical Psychology from the University of Minnesota in 1972. Following several years on the faculty of the University of Texas at Austin, in 1977 he joined the faculty of the University of Miami, Coral Gables, Florida. While a Professor of Psychology there, he held several administrative positions, including those of associate (1990-1996) and interim (1996-1997) dean of the College of Arts and Sciences. He served as dean of Faculty at Emory & Henry College from 2000-2005. He is a retired Dean and plays organ in his local Church in Virginia.
His scholarly contributions have been largely in the area of psychopathology. He has published a number of papers relating to depression, and he is a co-editor of the Oxford Textbook of Psychopathology (1999).
